Connecting to Clover

To create a POS connection with Clover POS we must have an API Token and a few bits of account information. This guide will walk through the steps of capturing that information in the Clover web dashboard.

1. Log into the account's web dashboard and navigate to Setup > API Tokens. Enter "EG" into the Name box and click the "Generate Token" button.

2. After the API Token is created give the token access to READ all permission categories and WRITE the Inventory category. Save those changes.

3. We need two pieces of information from this page. First the API Token; second the Business Identifier, which is available in the URL of the page.

4. Finally navigate to the Employees. On this page we need the Employee ID for the owner account. Find owner in the list, the Employee ID is listed below the employee name.

5. Provide these 3 pieces of information to us: API Token, Business ID, and Employee ID.
